Joyce Morgan was a psychic. She was a member of Miller's Paranormal and the Psychical Research Society of Kansas City. She enjoyed investigating locations with ties to the Civil War, and she worked with several law enforcement agencies over the years on cold-case murders and disappearances. I got the impression she really delighted in her gifts.

We had a chance to work with Joyce on a joint investigation with Miller's Paranormal at the 1859 Jackson County Jail Museum, back in July of 2006. Joyce told me two things that night that were extremely detailed, entirely correct, and of which she should have had absolutely no knowledge. Not everything she said that night was confirmable, but those two pieces of information were not the result of guesses, cold-reading, or trickery...and the fact she came up with those two pieces of information really impressed me.

And Joyce was very funny and very entertaining. Watching her walk through a haunted location and describe what she was seeing and hearing her describe what the spirits and ghosts were telling her was enthralling. We don't usually work with psychics, but watching Joyce at work made it clear to us why many groups do use them and swear by them.

Joyce has been ill for quite some time, and you could tell it took a lot out of her. I didn't know Joyce very well, but I am sure if she gets a chance to communicate with her family and friends, she will let them know she is happy and in a better place.

Our thoughts are with Joyce's family, friends, and the folks over at Miller's Paranormal...

Ghost Quotes...
Truly the universe is full of ghosts, not sheeted churchyard spectres, but the inextinguishable elements of individual life, which having once been, can never die, though they blend and change, and change again for ever.
