Cool Website!

Hello Mark. What a cool website....both of them!
I met Mark on his Elmwood site. Both sites are awesome, Mark!
Here on Ghost Vigil, you can speek more openly.
I was looking at the photo's you have posted here...........very nice, indeed!
I haven't ghost hunted in a while, humm, lets see.......last Saturday.
Mark and I have been emailing each other for the last 2 weeks. Mark seems very intelligent and prosperous
on what his interests are in life. Right-on! Its a pleasure to know him and the group.
Wish I could attend the Jail Tour, but hate to give up the Van Halen tickets.
If there is another tour in the future that's lead by Ghost Vigil, I'd love to attend.
I'm use to going alone or sometimes with my kids if it's not too dangerous.
I've gone to a few places where I was more frightened of the living than the dead, lol
I use to shoot astronomy and night scenery photo's. Late night in an abandon cemetery is much more rewarding!
3 places I'd like to visit before I die are: Stongehedge, King Ludwin's Neuschwanstein castle, & some 400 year old cemetery's in England!!
You all sound like a great group people. Happy Vigil'en!!

Ted

Ted's talking about another website that I administer, over at...

http://www.historicelmwood.org

Ted has sent me some wonderful photos to share over there...and I've only scratched the surface of sharing them so far!

Thanks for coming over here Ted, and saying such nice things! Welcome to our site. Have fun at Van Halen...

Hi Ted and Welcome to the board! I'm glad you are enjoying them all. Mark is an amazing person! I can't elaborate any more than that or his head will swell. Not enough room on the board for that!

Would love to hear some of your ghostie stories! Feel free to post more.

Thanks Mark and Tara.
The investigating you all do here...are like really good books. I've only read about 5 of them. I read slow cause I like to savor them. The Northland House, where Mark grew up...awesome!
I don't have alot of ghost stories, more of interesting places and the history that of. There is an abandon cemetery that I'm fawned of. Later tonight, I'll log back on and go into detail. Its too early right now..9am.
The Van Halen concert rocked! Sprint center is really cool.
I have a poker tourament in 3 hrs. Gotta get ready for that.
Yeah, later, I'll scan some photo's and try my hand at uploading so you'll have a visual.

Hello again,
See if I can give a little description and post a photo or two.

My kids and I went to Sauer Castle. They had it fenced off so we could'nt get too close. I was takinbg pictures and my daughter said something was moving inside one of the top windows. I came over to where she was standing, she pointed out the top right window in the tower. I watched for awhile and sure enough, something was making a quick punching movement at the curtain. I started taking pictures of as it was happening. It was always too fast for me. About 4 or 5 snap shoots later, I felt I got it on the last one. When I got the pictures developed, I noticed the last picture did have a dark kinda hand looking object "through" the curtain.
Here's a couple of photos.

Dang....didn't work....??
Well....Tara,
Shoot me an email, I'll send them to ya.
I have a couple of each:
Sauer Castle, ancient Indian burial ground, adandoned capital looking builing(out in the middle of nowhere. Legend has it, it was a cult/sweat shop for orchards), and an abandon cemetery.
Thanks and take care.

Silentbob,
Yeah...the building looks like a capital. Its on 24 hwy about 40-50 miles east. You can't see it from the road, its hidden.
I guess 20 years ago, we heard about this place that was a cult. We was walking down the drive way towards the "house" and we noticed a round window above the door was white like painted white, and then it turned black and dogs started barking. We left cause we thought they were watching us.
A year ago, me and my cousin stpped by there after a Thanksgiving family reunion. Its abandon now. This huge building and no one was around. No cars, the place was a wreck, weeds knee high. We walked all around it, seen some lights on inside, here and there, but not a sign of a person. I was taking pictures and one side of the building, you can see all the way down the hall. one picture I took, the hall lights were off, and the next picture, the lights were on. We didn't realise it untill we seen the photo's.
I'll practice with the photo buck site and up'em. Awesome looking building out in the middle of nowhere.

Hey Ted, sorry I didn't get a chance to email you. I have been out of town. Did you get the photobucket.com site to work for you? I think it works really well.

Notice to top right window of the tower?

Now look at it, it took 4 or 5 photo's to capture it. It was making a punching motion through the curtain.

Now lights on....suppose to be an abandon building???

http://s223.photobucket.com/albums/dd126/Ted128/?action=view¤t=9.jpg

An Old Abandoned Cemetery. I been here a couple times as a kid. The coffins had collapsed and the graves were a foot to 2 feet sunken. But in the last 20 years, someone filled then back up. But by the looks of it....that's all that's been done to it. This is the only place where I've gotten spooked. 2 years ago, I went here on a blood moon, on Halloween, at 12:00 midnight.
I know my mind was working in turbo mode. My eyes and brain don't agree on something....
My brain tells me I saw a posium or rackoon....before I even got down in the cemetery, I heard something in the corn field next to the cemetery. I turned the spot light over to what I heard. I seen a half of a aparition. From the stomach down, was nothing. He was useing his right arm to crawl down the corn row. Then he looked back at me and stared. That's when I freaked out. Headed back to the car with lights and camera. lol I know, I know, probaly a derranged posium or rackoon......that's what I keep telling myself. In the day time....its a peaceful but upsetting place. Nobody visits or maintains the cemetery. It has no name. I like to think for it as Sara. One of the most interesting tombstones has the name Sara on it. This is out in the middle of nowhere, in the middle of a field. Oh, one other thought, I showed these pictures to my boss, He freaked out. He started shaking and got real nervous and appoligetic. Here's his story:
He was out hunting with his buddies, sometime has passed before they went looking for him. They found him kneeling before a old grave site (out in the woods) in a trance. They gothim to come around and back to camp. He told them that when he was a kid, he always had a dream about a cemetery out in the woods. Well, that cemetery was identical to his dreams. So when he seen these photo's....he about lost it. Which made me feel good that my photo's had meaning.

http://s223.photobucket.com/albums/dd126/Ted128/?action=view¤t=18.jpg

This one was lined with rocks. I take it, it was a shallow grave. And a small tree was growing right through the middle.

http://s223.photobucket.com/albums/dd126/Ted128/?action=view¤t=16.jpg

Ancient Indian burial ground: story has it, The Army gave the Indians blankets that were infected with yellow fever. It wiped out most of the tribe. The small wavey hills are ditches they dug to bury the Indains in. I guess its not ancient....but I'm so use to saying that....
This picture is low quality compared to the original. The original has alot of red spots in the trees and bushes??? Cobwebs??

http://s223.photobucket.com/albums/dd126/Ted128/?action=view¤t=6.jpg

One more:
Night photo of a cemetery out side of Higginsville, Mo.
I have a better picture, but couldn't find it. It looked like smoke rolling over the top of a tombstone.

http://s223.photobucket.com/albums/dd126/Ted128/?action=view¤t=5.jpg

Thanks Silentbob for the tip!
Thanks to Mark for the Site!

One of the greatest potential tools was given to us when photography was invented: for if we could photograph the dead under conditions that carefully exclude trickery, we would surely be so much wiser - and the argument for survival would...be stronger.
